Refund Policy
Two refund paths are available on the paid resume rewrite service: a 7-day window after delivery, and the ATS-pass guarantee. This page describes both, who is eligible, and how to request a refund. The free analyzer at /analyzer is free and has nothing to refund.
At a glance
- 7-day window. You can request a refund within 7 days of final delivery. Unlimited revisions are included during this window.
- ATS-pass guarantee. If your finalized resume does not score 95+ in our testing across the 20+ ATS engines we simulate, we revise it. If we still cannot reach 95+, we refund every cent.
- Refunds go back the way they came in. We use Stripe to process payments and refunds. Stripe typically returns funds to your card or bank in 5–10 business days.
- Contact us first. Email or message us before raising a chargeback — we resolve nearly every refund request within one working day.
1. The 7-day window
The 7-day window starts the moment we deliver your final resume (and any other deliverables included in your order). During those 7 days you can:
- Request unlimited revisions — we'll keep iterating until you're happy or until you ask for a refund.
- Request a full refund if the work doesn't meet the brief you gave us.
After the 7-day window closes, the per-order refund right expires. The ATS-pass guarantee (Section 2) is separate and applies to the work itself.
2. The ATS-pass guarantee
We test every finalized resume through the same kind of engines recruiters use — Workday, Greenhouse, Lever, Taleo, iCIMS, Jobvite, and 14+ others — and score it on parsing completeness, semantic match against the job description you provided, and formatting compatibility.
If your finalized resume does not score 95+ in our testing, we will revise it as many times as needed to get there. If after good-faith revisions we still cannot reach 95+ on a brief that matches the role you gave us at the start, we refund the full amount you paid.
What this guarantee does not promise. We can influence the work; we can't promise that any specific recruiter or company will say yes. The ATS-pass guarantee is a guarantee about the resume we ship, not about any third-party hiring decision.
3. How to request a refund
Send a refund request to us via englishabcd.com/contact. To help us resolve quickly, include:
- The email address you used to place the order.
- The order or invoice reference, if you have it.
- Whether you're requesting under the 7-day window (Section 1) or the ATS-pass guarantee (Section 2).
- A brief note on what didn't work, so we can improve.
We aim to confirm receipt the same working day and, if your request is approved, issue the refund within 2 working days of confirmation.
4. How refunds are processed
Payments and refunds run through Stripe. When we issue a refund, the funds are returned to the original payment method (the card, bank account, or wallet you paid with). The amount that lands back in your account is the amount you paid — we don't deduct fees from refunds.
Stripe typically posts a refund to a card within 5–10 business days, depending on your issuing bank. For some banks and bank-account-based payments, it can be faster or slower; this is set by your bank, not by us.
5. What's eligible
The following are eligible for a refund:
- Any paid resume rewrite order, within the 7-day window after final delivery.
- Any paid resume rewrite order where, after good-faith revisions, we cannot reach a 95+ score under the ATS-pass guarantee.
- An order that we cannot start or complete on our side (for example, if we cannot match a writer to a niche industry within a reasonable time).
6. What's not eligible
- Refund requests submitted more than 7 days after final delivery, except under the ATS-pass guarantee path.
- The free analyzer — there is nothing to refund.
- Outcomes outside our control: a specific employer rejecting your application, a specific recruiter not replying, or a hiring market shift.
- Cases where the brief was changed substantially after delivery (a different role, different industry, different seniority) — those are typically a new project, but we'll always discuss before charging again.
7. Partial refunds
For most orders we offer either a full refund or no refund — partial refunds tend to add friction without solving the underlying issue. We may offer a partial refund where it clearly fits the situation (for example, an add-on deliverable that wasn't used while the main resume was accepted). Partial refunds are at our discretion and are not a default.
8. Chargebacks
Please contact us first if something has gone wrong. A chargeback is slower than a direct refund (it can take weeks) and locks the order into a dispute process that helps no one. We resolve nearly every legitimate refund request within one working day, and we'd rather fix it directly than fight a dispute.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this page from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Any change applies to orders placed after the change is published; orders already in flight follow the policy that was in force when you ordered.
